This is the black and white version of my observer...I'm having some problems colouring it...its been awhile since I've done anything in colour. (and based on the fact they've never picked a black and white one >.> I'd say it's important). It's still abit dodgy...I totally can't draw straight lines...but lemme know if I should change anything (the title isn't finished yet, just to point out) lemme know...since now I have the time to! It was inspired by the 1950s and the cold war etc...hence why the colouring is quite difficult for me o.o...
I just thought I'd let people know that they've extended the deadline due to mail strikes to the 19th of October...which is good because I'm not sure I could have had it coloured to a reasonable standard to post tommorrow o.o!
If you don't believe me...

Decided to go back to basics with this story and write a strong narrative and just use pencil rather than get lost on the idea of continuing with a story and media that wasn't working. I may change a couple of the panels to help the flow of the story but I think it has potential. Let me know what you think. thanks guys

Ok I'm confident that this story actually makes sense now - and that the drawings have improved! In my mind theres still lots of improvements and things to be learned in the way I use this particular media (ink pen) to do my storyboards but I think its getting there!
I'm not happy with the 4th panel on the 3rd page - from viewing it on the screen the perspective looks completely wrong so am going to return to that and re - do again!
I have another story to ink so hopefully that one will be even better! Please let me know what you think, thanks.

This is my Observer contribution, page 2 out of 4, more will be uploaded soon as I completely finish! It's a ridiculous but what I hope entertaining story, I tried to progress with the colours and drawings from where I left off on the bald cypress/BMI entry. Looking at it now I think I'll re-do the title again as it wasn't really that considered, but please let me know what you think, cheers.
It's finished- going to get it printed and posted tomorrow, so if you see this in the morning and have particular gripes please let me know!

hey everyone. looking forward to starting uni again.
i have been busy drawing lots and practising lots. and focusing on getting my work noticed a bit.
i got this months artists showcase for neo magazine. the most popular manga mag in UK. they looked at my blog and chose what work they wanted. and they seemed to opt for my digital paintings i did in the past. but all in all its good to see my stuff on shiny paper. i tried not to sound retarded on my Bio. and pose for my mugshot ahaha
i sent my blog to illustratorweb and they said they are thinking of representing me , fingers crossed. am going to post some work i have been doing over the past week. illustrationg a poem by Rossetti. :) -women behaving badly is one of my fave subjects.-iam just doing some observational studys of snakes for it. (i never knew i cudnt draw snakes well) thinking of putting it in inksoup instead of my other submissions, or making it into an artists book

I've started coming up with some short stories whilst looking at storyboard artists such as 'David Allcock'. This is just a 1st experiment to try and improve my prep for my stories before going straight into the final piece - such as thinking about shadow, background etc. Let me know what you think.
